Halifax-based Live Art Dance Productions has established a national reputation for the presentation of innovative dance projects and is the only specialized dance presenter in Canada's Atlantic region to program an annual season that features dance artists who have established a presence on national stages. Live Art has been introducing maritime audiences to the best in Canadian contemporary dance for more than two decades.

The Main Stage Series involves individual artists/companies from the local, national, and international dance communities; works are usually presented for a two night run in a 235 seat venue.

Whatever the event, visiting companies are encouraged to implicate themselves in the local community by teaching workshops and Master Classes, and through their involvement in artists talks and other outreach activities.

Live Art is active as a commissioning partner and is an instigator of projects that create value for the local community as a whole.

Artists wishing to submit projects are encouraged to contact Randy Glynn prior to sending materials.
